Illustrative in my approach I believe there is no substitution for good drawing skills and accurate observation.
I have produced freelance art, design and illustration work for companies and private clients including Horse and Hound, Essex Police, the British Horse Society, the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust, Farming Books and Videos, Lancashire Trust for Nature Conservation, West Lancashire Tourism, West Lancashire Health Services Lake District National Park and Leighton Hall.
I produce cartoons under the name Nik. These can be viewed on the Cartoon Gallery page.
I have also worked for many years as a teaching both art and graphic design courses. I currently work as an Information Officer for the Wye valley Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty which gives me the opportunty to publicise and promote this stunningly beautiful area. As a qualified BHSAI I have been involved in the horseworld both teaching and riding which I love and get involved in when time allows. I own an ever increasing menagarie of pets (most rescued and of indeterminate parentage, including the horses). I am also involved in establishing a Riding Centre for Vulnerable Adults at Minsterworth and I am involved in the Forest of Dean Riders and Carriage Drivers Association which works to improve access for riders and drivers in the area.
